Procedure for Sending & Receiving Money
In order to send money
- Deliver to the Western Union associate your proof of identity, the amount & the transfer fees and indicate the recipient’s name and the country of destination.
- Your transaction is forwarded through the electronic transaction system of Western Union.
- The associate provides you with your transaction receipt, which indicates the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
- Notify the required details for receiving the money to the recipient.
In order to receive money
- Provide the Western Union associate the details of the country of origin, the sender’s full name, the amount you are expecting and the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN).
- Give the Western Union associate your proof of identity.
- Your transaction is forwarded through the electronic transaction system of Western Union.
- The associate delivers you the payable amount and the payment receipt.
